Dark Moon Drummers Guild is an open Drum Circle sponsored by Rainbow
Chalice Chapter of CUUPS (Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans)
at South Valley Unitarian Universalist Society
in Salt Lake City Utah. We meet to "drum up the moon" on the evening of
the Dark Moon every month, and also take advantage of opportunities to
drum for events in the local community.
All who are interested in drumming, drum energy, the lore and legend of drumming, sacred dance and trance work, or just want to get together and make a joyful noise, are welcome to our regular drum circles. You are also invited to join us in various open performance opportunities upcoming in the next several months. The dates for upcoming Dark Moon Drumming events are: June 3
Dark Moon Drumming events and practices, except as noted, take place at South Valley Unitarian Universalist Society, 6876 South, 2000 East in SLC. You do not need to have a drum, nor do you need to know how to drum, in order to participate fully. Our drum master, Corvus, is exceptionally skilled at encouraging reluctant or new drummers to participate with gusto and enjoyment, and he and his mate Anna have over 100 drums and percussion instruments that are available for you to use.
